In the Cait Sith Village, when he stepped foot inside the biggest house which belonged to the village head, he was greeted by a nostalgic face.

「Yo-you are……?」

As soon as she saw Yuuto's face, the book that Olivia was reading fell out of her grasp in shock onto the floor.

「Um, it's been a while. Olivia-san.」

「I-i can see that! Why are you here!?」

In the mind of Olivia Lightwind, the head of the Cait Sith Village, a faint feeling of love for Yuuto had risen. This had happened as Yuuto saved her from an assault by Tanaka Kazuya, the leader of the thief group 《Scarlet Distortion》. That feeling hadn't gone away even after Olivia was separated from Yuuto. However, for a village head who was tied to their village, it was difficult to get close to an adventurer who moved from place to place. Because of these circumstances, Olivia kept her own feelings controlled while staying in the village.

「Could it be……did you come here to get me for something……?」

The confused Olivia spoke to Yuuto in a hasty cadence.

「Please calm down! I came here to help with the ghoul extermination!」

With the unexpected direction in which Olivia had headed, Yuuto retorted.

「Is that so……! It was like that! However, I never would have thought it would be you that came……!」

After that Olivia calmed down after hearing the details from Yuuto.

「Yuuto kun. The full story of what you heard from Luna is that our village is in an unprecedented predicament. Some members of the village are being kidnapped by the ghouls. As a matter of fact, we already figured where their den is. Tomorrow, I want Yuuto and Luna to go on the ghoul subjugation.」

「……I understand. Um, although I do have something I want to ask about Luna.」

He was not sure why, but Yuuto was convinced that he was being avoided by Luna. He wanted to dissolve this uneasiness before tomorrow's job. Therefore, Yuuto decided to ask Olivia various things about Luna Honek.

「Is that so……… What do you wish to know?」

Having heard of the situation from Yuuto, Olivia gave him an understanding look.

「However, its probably natural for Luna to dislike Yuuto.」

「……why is that?」

「Ah, as you can see, there are very few children in our village. Luna is the only child who is of the same generation as Ririna. According to her, Yuuto-kun is the detestable person who took away her important friend.」

And added to the reasoning, was the fact that the motivation behind Luna becoming an adventurer was to take Ririna out of the village. Even if one understood that Luna was wrong, her reasoning for disliking Yuuto wasn't inherently bad.

It was a feeling of cold water thrown on Yuuto's good mood for being popular.

「Is that so?   It appears that the day is at an end. By all means, you should stay at our village tonight.」

「I understand. I will humbly accept your offer.」

As Olivia had mentioned, it was already late. As it was dangerous to walk in the forest during the night, it was better to stay over. When Yuuto consented willingly, Olivia was strangely nervous due to the doubtful circumstance.
