What drew Yuuto's attention the most was the newly acquired magic and unique ability. When he confirmed that there was no one around, he chanted the magic in his mind. Since the area was large, the garden was the perfect place for training magic.

Immediately, Yuuto was surrounded by a thin membrane of water. Strangely, the water didn't spill to the ground and was hovering in the air.

(Huh. Aren't I trapped in this?)

As soon as the worry came to his mind, Yuuto realized that his fears were groundless. When he imagined cancelling the magic, the film of water that surrounded him fell to the ground.

(………I see. As the name suggests, this magic creates a barrier out of water.)

A magic that can create a 360 degree membrane will be helpful when he is attacked by fire magic. However the drawback of the magic was that when he cancelled the magic it drenched his clothes. He decided to try out 《Growth Promotion》 next.

Since Yuuto though that it was better to experiment with plants that could provide food, Yuuto had bought a variety of fruits from the market. He had bought 10 different species of fruits that was found in Trywide that included Apples, Peach, Kiwi Fruit, Pears, Persimmon, Grapes and Oranges. If Growth Promotion unique ability worked well, he could create an orchard in no time. After burying the apple seed that he had prepared beforehand in the ground, he eagerly tried to use growth promotion.

Momentarily, the apple seed grew at a tremendous speed and turned into a tree. Furthermore, the tree was in a delightful state where it already had several fruits growing on it. He picked one of the apples and bit into it as a trial.

The sweet and sour taste of the fruit spread in his mouth. The taste wasn't much different from the apples he ate in Japan.

The reason why he thought that was because using this ability, he could produce fruits endlessly. Since he could get multiple seeds from a single seed, the process becomes a perfect perpetual motion. After tasting the apple, Yuuto decided to repeat the experiment with other species.

An hour later Yuuto's expectations were proven half right and half wrong. While indeed it was possible to use 《Growth Promotion》 to endlessly harvest fruits, there were two problems.

The first being the nourishment that trees drew from the underground. Because of using Growth Promotion, he had quickly found that the ground was running out of nutrients. If there wasn't enough nutrients when he used the Growth Promotion ability, the tree withered midway and he couldn't harvest the fruits. The soil lost all nutrients due to Growth Promotion being used to grow a plant and became dry and reddish-yellow in color. He couldn't grow another tree when the ground was in this state.

The second problem was the environment. When he tried to grow different fruits, there was a mixed reaction as some didn't grow well. For the fruits that didn't grow well, Yuuto thought that the environment was the reason. Naturally, certain fruits were tailored for a specific environment with specific temperature and humidity levels. The fruits that Yuuto managed to successfully grow were apples, oranges, grapes, peaches and persimmon. He hadn't been able to cultivate the others because he didn't satisfy some conditions.

He had successfully grown 40 trees with Growth Promotion. The fruit garden took up about one-eighth of the whole area of the garden. If he grew plants, he could endlessly get seeds. However in the future if he found a tree that he wanted to grow, he might find the ground void of nutrition.

「………Alright, since I have nothing to lose, should I try that?)

Yuuto pulled out the unusual fruits from the Magic Bag that he had harvested from the Divine Tree at the Cait Sith Village. Could he grow a Divine Tree if he used Growth Promotion? It was an idea that he had come up almost immediately after he plundered the ability from the Wood Pascal. Yuuto buried a 『Child Fruit』 in the ground as an experiment and tried to use his Growth Promotion ability.

「………Oi oi, seriously?」

A tree grew in front of Yuuto. Just like the other fruits, he had successfully grown a tree from a rare item. It had certainly exceeded his expectation. Yuuto's tension increased unintentionally.
